It feels amazing to see my artwork in the home where it belongs. 

 

I was asked to create an abstract diptych, a style quite different from the realistic portrait art that I primarily focus on. However, I was already familiar with creating abstract art.

 

It challenges me to capture emotions on canvas in a different way. Visual elements like lines, shapes and colors are even more decisive in whether the artwork evokes a feeling. Additionally, I draw inspiration from creating abstract art. Right now, I'm working on a series where abstract art and realism come together.

 

I visited the client’s home to discuss the project and see where the artwork would be placed. It would have a beautiful spot above the dining table in the living room. I sketched a concept and after the client’s approval, I got started on creating the diptych.

 

I delivered the artwork at the client's home. It's the moment when I pause for a moment and realize how much I enjoy creating pieces that find their home outside my studio.

Het moment dat Rosalie jouw huis binnenstapt begint het te sprankelen. Ze adviseert je en denkt met je mee hoe een kunstwerk, of in ons geval twee kunstwerken, tot zijn recht kunnen komen en hoe je dit het beste kan laten zien. Ze zorgt ervoor dat een kunstwerk echt een aanvulling is en dat een ruimte meer tot zijn recht komt. Stelt ze de juiste vragen. Ze luistert aandachtig en neemt dit mee in haar proces.

 

Het concept dat ze voor ons bedacht heeft sluit naadloos aan bij ons karakter, geschiedenis en sfeer van het huis. Rosalie is een topper in haar vak en weet jouw verhaal prachtig om te zetten naar (subtiele) kunst waar je naar blijft kijken.
