ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork portrays a woman who embodies elegance and beauty, accompanied by her spiritual animal, the peacock. A symbol of beauty, immortality, confidence, and renewal, the peacock perfectly complements her graceful presence. This artwork was inspired by a transformative journey through Greece, where the rich mythology and powerful female figures encouraged me to create my own goddesses. The peacock is entirely built up from carefully applied layers of colored pencil, with colors seamlessly blended to create a vibrant and multi-dimensional effect.
Dit werk is ontstaan vanuit een inspirerende reis door Griekenland, waar de rijke mythologie en krachtige vrouwenfiguren mij aanspoorden om mijn eigen godinnen te creëren. De pauw is volledig opgebouwd uit zorgvuldig aangebrachte lagen kleurpotlood, waarbij de kleuren vloeiend in elkaar overlopen om een levendige en gelaagde uitstraling te geven.
