In their bright pink CATC-Canta, the girls from Chicks And The City interview both famous and unknown women in their series FIERCE FORWARD, exploring 50 years of women's emancipation.
I had the honor of creating the illustrations for this new series, which can be seen on OPEN Rotterdam From iconic Rotterdam landmarks like the Euromast, Central Station, City Hall, Erasmus Bridge, and Boijmans, to texts, symbols, and the girls in the leader; everything is designed in the recognizable style and colors of Chicks And The City.

Give and receive compliments! That’s what the design of this compliment game is all about. Because honestly: who doesn’t shine from a compliment? When I was asked to design the compliment game I immediately knew: this game needs to shine.
The hands capture the sparkles of the sun and, in turn, give those sparkles back to the sun.
All students and staff of Inholland University of Applied Sciences (around 30,000 people) were surprised with the box full of compliments.
I’ve already seen many beautiful messages from happy recipients and even requests from people who also want to receive a game.
It was another wonderful illustration project that I worked on with great joy.
I had the privilege of adding art to eight elevators at Inholland Rotterdam. The illustrations aim to connect students, colleagues and visitors of the university.
Engage in conversation using the conversation starters in the conversation lift, record your pitch in the pitch lift, scan the QR codes to read stories from former Inholland students, give compliments in the compliment lift, interpret the 'diversity' image together and spot over 30 well-known Rotterdam icons in the marathon search image.
Based on a few themes and the project’s goal of connecting people, I came up with six concepts. I then developed them into illustrations. What a joy it was to do this!
